Mission & Vision
Our mission is to provide life-changing support to people who have lost their housing or are struggling to meet other basic needs. We partner with those we serve to build a more secure future for themselves and their families.
Our Vision
Lifting Up Westchester envisions a community where everyone has a stable place to call home. We believe that housing is the foundation on which a person’s well-being and advancement is built. With secure housing, we have the ability to focus on improving our health, education, and employment. Our team helps people find a home, build on that foundation, and achieve greater self-sufficiency. When we uplift the most vulnerable in our community, we all rise!
Our Work
We provide comprehensive support to people facing homelessness, hunger, and extreme poverty including:
• Emergency Shelter: beds, meals, and other necessities for single men and women with tailored on-site support
• Community Central: hot meals, programs and activities, and guidance accessing other community resources
• Job Central: assistance in preparing for, finding, and maintaining employment
• Housing: access to safe, affordable housing with ongoing support to ensure sustainability
• Youth Programs: academic tutoring, enrichment, and mentoring for students from kindergarten through college
