Lifting Up Westchester, Inc. recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of its supporters, volunteers, and online visitors to www.liftingupwestchester.org. Lifting Up Westchester, Inc. collects no personal identifying information about individuals, except when specifically and knowingly provided by that individual.

Lifting Up Westchester, Inc. does not sell, trade, or share its donor or volunteer lists with any other organization or individual.

When individuals or companies contact us by email, through our Website, or register in person to become a volunteer, we do not share with any other organization or individual the postal address, email address, or any other data included in the contact information provided. Individuals who receive printed materials through postal mail and/or through our online newsletters always have the opportunity to remove their address from our database and decline to receive our materials. 

While Lifting Up Westchester, Inc. keeps a record of each donor’s giving history and may publish gifts in our Annual Report, we do not share detailed financial histories with others. In addition, all donors have the opportunity to request that their name and gift(s) not be included in our annual reports. Donor information records are kept on file for IRS purposes and only used by Lifting Up Westchester, Inc. management for budgeting and planning purposes.

Lifting Up Westchester takes precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever Lifting Up Westchester collects sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to Lifting Up Westchester in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

While Lifting Up Westchester uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
